The Faculty of Medicine at Leipzig University and University of Leipzig Medical Center establish the MD-LEICS program dedicated to address the particular need for next generation Clinician Scientists entering and pursuing translational research in the field of modern diseases (e.g. obesity, type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, eating disorders).
The aim of MD-LEICS is to sustainably promote Clinician Scientists in modern diseases through protected research time (50-75%) and a structured curriculum for interdisciplinary clinical and scientific qualification.
