Review and impressions

Dear colleagues, guests and doctoral students,

the 2nd international Symposium of the CRC 1052 “Obesity Mechanisms” took place on September 2nd-3rd 2019 at the Mediencampus Villa Ida in Leipzig  With international and local expertise the conference focused on 5 areas to study the mechanisms underlying obesity. Over 130 scientists shared cutting-edge presentations on clinical and biological topics in obesity research resulting in stimulating discussions and new ideas.

Current projects of the participants were presented and discussed at the posters session. The program of the international conference implemented tree awards for the best posters. The aim is to encourage the submission and exhibibition of more high qulity posters carried out by young scientists in cluding PhD students and post-doctoral researchers.

The CRC 1052 is pleased about two successful days in which many new insights were gained and contacts made.
